VP of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the financial operations of a rapidly expanding startup.

• Engage in forecasting and budgeting activities.

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payroll processes.

• Support hiring, benefits administration, and human resources functions.

• Collaborate closely with the fund accounting and finance teams.

• Deliver financial reports to the leadership team and Board of Directors.

• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and reporting requirements.

• Implement accounting and financial software systems.

• Manage the Capitalization Table.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of finance experience, encompassing accounting, FP&A, and systems.

• Background in a fast-paced, scaling fintech environment.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in financial modeling and projections.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, along with familiarity with modern finance tools.

• Knowledge of the intricacies of accounting in the context of startup investments.

• A proactive mindset to address any opportunities or challenges.

• Ability to develop and utilize logical solutions for complex issues.

• Detail-oriented and analytical approach to tasks.

• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities; strong organizational and time management skills are essential.

• Preferred: Interest and experience in the venture capital sector.
