VP of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture the finance and accounting team, which includes two Accounting Managers.

• Manage consolidation and below-the-line accounting for a multi-entity, private equity-backed organization.

• Ensure accuracy and reasonableness in business-unit closes through thorough reviews.

• Direct financial planning and analysis (FP&A), encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic insights.

• Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms for three GM-level P&L owners and two historical business units.

• Design reporting frameworks within Acumatica in collaboration with the internal Acumatica team.

• Present monthly performance results to Third Wave leadership and Pine, accompanied by performance commentary.

• Collaborate with the Pine finance team on key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting, and analytical insights.

• Provide strategic advice on business model strengths, areas for improvement, and actionable steps.

• Influence the future direction of the finance organization in alignment with business growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including leadership roles.

• Solid accounting background, such as audit, controllership, or possession of a CPA.

• Practical experience in FP&A or comprehensive visibility of full P&L within an operational business.

• Familiarity with multi-entity consolidation and oversight of month-end close processes.

• Proficient in advanced Excel and financial modeling techniques.

• Capability to establish structure and processes in a dynamic, growing business environment.

• Skill in bridging the gap between the rigor of large corporations and the realities of small businesses.

• Strong communication skills with leadership teams and investors.

• Additional qualifications such as CPA, experience in private equity-backed firms or holding companies, professional services/software resale/ERP background, Acumatica or other mid-market ERP experience, and post-acquisition integration knowledge are advantageous.
