VP of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of financial strategy and planning — develop and sustain the financial model, manage budgeting and forecasting, and provide the founders with clear insights into unit economics and growth.

• Oversee the finance operations — including accounting, month-end closing, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and ensuring readiness for audits. You will establish the systems and often manage them personally in the early stages.

• Act as the numerical partner to the founders — transform ambiguous inquiries into detailed analyses, rigorously evaluate decisions, and assist in establishing priorities.

• Spearhead fundraising and investor relations — aid in capital raising efforts, manage the data room, and handle board and investor reporting.

• Manage compliance, taxation, and risk — ensure we remain clean and audit-ready as a financial services organization.

• Prepare for scalability — implement the tools, controls, and eventually the team necessary for the finance department to keep pace with business growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise as a finance leader (VP of Finance or senior finance operator), preferably with experience in startups or rapidly growing companies.

• Truly hands-on — at ease with managing both strategic initiatives and detailed financial spreadsheets. No task is too small for you.

• Strong proficiency in contemporary finance and business tools — you are well-versed in the current SaaS finance ecosystem (e.g., ERP/accounting, FP&A, billing, BI) and comfortable collaborating closely with a technical team and their systems.

• AI-savvy — you actively utilize AI tools to enhance efficiency and seek opportunities to automate and improve the finance function instead of simply increasing headcount.

• Exceptional judgment, a humble attitude, and a high level of productivity. You deliver outstanding work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in fintech, lead generation/marketing, or financial services is a significant advantage.
