VP of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the finance function

• Manage the financial operations of a rapidly growing startup

• Conduct forecasting and budgeting activities

• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and payroll

• Support hiring processes, benefits administration, and human resources

• Collaborate closely with the accounting and finance team of the venture capital fund

• Deliver financial reports to the leadership team and Board of Directors

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and reporting requirements

• Implement accounting and other financial software systems

• Oversee the management of the cap table

• Establish the groundwork for business scalability

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in finance, including accounting, FP&A, and systems

• Proven experience in a fast-paced fintech environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams

• Expertise in financial modeling and projections

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets, with experience in modern finance tools

• In-depth understanding of accounting nuances related to startup investments

• Proactive approach to identifying and addressing opportunities or challenges

• Strong problem-solving skills to develop logical solutions for complex issues

• Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, requiring strong organizational and time management skills

• Candidates must be based in the U.S., preferably within the Bay Area

• Preferred: Interest and experience in the venture capital industry
