This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +29 more states.
• Spearhead the creation and implementation of a sales strategy by pinpointing target organizations and establishing a pipeline, particularly with Fortune 1,000 companies and those with at least 5,000 employees.
• Oversee the sales process from the identification of targets to the final contracting stage.
• Collaborate with client services during the account implementation phase and throughout ongoing client relationship management.
• Manage a substantial pipeline utilizing sales metrics and tracking tools.
• Convey internal priorities, challenges, and opportunities that influence revenue growth.
• Handle multiple deals and potential client interactions concurrently.
• Partner with marketing and other teams to enhance product positioning and transform customer feedback into product enhancements.
• Contribute to the management team and assist in broadening market presence.
• Utilize cross-functional resources and subject matter experts in deal negotiations.
• Represent the firm at key tradeshows and industry events while sourcing potential new clients.
• Act as a thought leader in the marketplace to foster awareness and credibility.
• Work with staff and external stakeholders to articulate and refine the company’s mission, vision, goals, and strategic direction.
• Achieve sales targets and recognized revenue quotas, focusing on new customer acquisition and year-over-year sales growth metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree from a nationally recognized college or university.
• 8+ years of experience, mainly in employer sales aimed at HR and Benefits.
• Proven history of meeting sales quotas.
• Experience in selling solutions to very large and large employers.
• Knowledge of subscription-based pricing models, ideally within SaaS technology solutions.
• Familiar with the employer technology sales cycle.
• Strong network of potential employer clients.
• Strategic sales insight and understanding of how to negotiate enterprise-wide contracts.
• Demonstrated capacity to generate significant sales growth, preferably in an early or growth-stage company.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Experience as a proactive "hunter" who can utilize resources in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to collaborate closely with marketing and other functions.
• Proven success in forecasting and achieving revenue targets.
• Ability to leverage data to shape sales strategy and report metrics to management.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working remotely while maintaining connections with headquarters.
• Unquestionable integrity and reputation with a history of delivering professional results.
• Willingness and ability to travel overnight, with travel demands potentially being substantial.
