VP of Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete data function at 9amHealth

• Establish the vision for the data organization, and develop and expand the team

• Collaborate with the executive team on strategic initiatives

• Work alongside various teams to define outcomes and metrics

• Make trade-off decisions among different platforms

• Evaluate ML model performance and consider clinical safety aspects

• Represent data in discussions and planning at the board level

• Create organizational structure as required

• Exceptional candidates with experience managing an entire data function from start to finish at scale

• Proven track record of leading data organizations through significant growth

• Experience in developing and enhancing data platforms

• Background in delivering ML or applied AI solutions into tangible products

• Capability to navigate ambiguity and foster clarity

• Ability to make informed decisions with incomplete data

• Strong instincts for product and business, alongside technical expertise

• Knowledge of experimentation, causal inference, and the limitations of A/B testing in the healthcare sector

• Familiarity with PHI / HIPAA regulations and compliance implications

• Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and advancing data teams
