This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Formulate and implement strategic business plans for assigned National Accounts, encompassing pricing, distribution, programming, and marketing strategies informed by insights into competitive dynamics and market trends.
• Create an annual sales and financial plan aligned with Ste Michelle’s strategic objectives, promoting balanced and profitable sales growth for our product portfolio within designated accounts.
• Cultivate robust internal relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Sales, RBMs, Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing, Legal, Winemaking & Operations, buyers, and distributors, to effectively collaborate on mutually beneficial solutions that drive business success.
• Lead a team of high-performing sales professionals, providing mentorship and development to establish the team as one of the premier sales forces in the alcohol industry.
• Develop and sustain trusted relationships with assigned external customers, ensuring horizontal and vertical penetration of corporate headquarters and managing team interactions with all RCMs consistently, while constructing execution plans for all programming.
• Oversee the team’s collaboration with SMWE Field sales to implement the execution plan in accordance with established standards and provide regular updates to the RCMs on execution progress.
• Partner with key national leaders within distributors to ensure the successful delivery of sales and the execution of chain plans.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; an MBA or similar advanced business degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in the wine industry is mandatory; a minimum of 5 years in national account wine sales is preferred.
• Capability to derive insights from analytics to formulate Strategic Sales and Marketing Plans for the designated geography.
• Proven ability to establish relationships with Corporate and Brand Management to align resources and drive execution effectively.
• Strong skills in building customer relationships with retailers and distributors in the territory, leveraging these connections to create business opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance the organization's capabilities through effective development and performance management.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear direction for distributors and the internal organization, driving results.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Physical capability to occasionally lift and carry cases of wine weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%, primarily within the assigned sales territory.
• A history of responsible alcohol use and appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
