VP, Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversees the preparation of updates for client registration statements.

• Manages the preparation of various client SEC filings.

• Directs the preparation and distribution of materials for client boards and committees.

• Participates in board and committee meetings to take notes and deliver presentations.

• Composes meeting minutes for review by a senior attorney.

• Provides clients with updates on recent regulatory developments and conducts regulatory research.

• Prepares contract amendments for services rendered to assigned clients.

• Completes all internal compliance documents promptly.

• Ensures client satisfaction within the Legal Administration relationship.

• Oversees the preparation of filings for specialized regulatory services under the guidance of senior attorneys.

• Mentors associates and maintains consistent communication with internal departments and clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and membership (or expected membership) in the bar of at least one state.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a 1940 Act attorney.

• Experience in management and leadership.

• Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

• Familiarity with relevant securities laws.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.
