📋 Description

• Take full ownership of revenue, margins, and unit economics within the consumer segment.

• Establish financial objectives, develop and oversee the budget, and achieve profitable growth each quarter.

• Directly report to senior leadership, providing complete visibility into performance and contributing during critical discussions.

• Strategize Kooner's entry and expansion into consumer markets, including pricing structure, service packaging, and geographic rollout.

• Identify optimal acquisition channels, rapidly validate assumptions, and focus on successful strategies.

• Create a scalable growth model that maintains quality and margins across new markets.

• Manage the consumer brand from inception, ensuring its identity is consistent at every customer interaction.

• Establish the benchmark for Kooner's consumer experience, from the first booking to the fifth visit.

• Develop systems and feedback mechanisms that guarantee consistency as the business grows.

• Recognize essential hires, justify headcount needs, and recruit individuals eager to build rather than merely manage.

• Design the organizational structure for the consumer division as it expands from the ground up.

• Cultivate a culture reflective of Kooner's family-first values while maintaining a startup pace.

• Outline the comprehensive service delivery model, including scheduling, dispatch, technician standards, quality control, and customer communication.

• Modify existing infrastructure where applicable and create new processes where necessary.

• Keep scalability in focus; every system should be designed to operate at 10x volume.

• Develop strategies for converting first-time customers into repeat clients.

• Create service plans, communication strategies, and loyalty programs that encourage repeat business.

• Define and monitor essential metrics such as retention rate, lifetime value, NPS, and churn.

• Collaborate with product and technology teams to enhance the digital experience, including booking, payment, service history, and reminders.

• Serve as an internal advocate for the consumer and influence the product roadmap accordingly.

• Identify deficiencies in current tools and drive improvements that enhance both customer and technician experiences.

• Utilize existing relationships and build new ones to boost consumer growth, including partnerships with insurance providers, dealerships, employers, and apartment communities.

• Investigate fleet-to-consumer crossover opportunities leveraging Kooner's national presence.

• Stay informed about competitor actions, market changes, and shifting consumer expectations.

• Use these insights to keep Kooner's offerings innovative and proactive rather than reactive.

• Continuously integrate learnings back into strategy, pricing, and product decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a GM, VP, or equivalent leadership position.

• Proven success in building and scaling consumer-facing businesses; experience in startups, division launches, or turnarounds is highly preferred.

• Required automotive industry experience; a background in dealership operations, fixed operations, or dealer group leadership is strongly favored and will significantly influence the selection process.

• An established network within the automotive sector and the capability to leverage it; you should bring relationships with dealer groups, service partners, or a loyal customer base, allowing for immediate impact.

• Commercially astute: you know how to attract customers, retain them, and develop a sustainable business model.

• An operator at heart, with the strategic foresight to anticipate challenges and the execution discipline to deliver results.

• Strong financial insight; comfortable managing a P&L, creating budgets, and making data-driven decisions.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity; you don't wait for a playbook, you create it.

• A strong leader who attracts talent, nurtures teams, and intentionally builds culture.

• An excellent communicator capable of aligning internal stakeholders and representing the brand externally with authority.

• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is advantageous.
