VP Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create funding frameworks for battery-powered locomotives, charging stations, and microgrid systems, encompassing project financing, tax equity, leasing facilities, and infrastructure collaborations.

• Formulate pricing and contract models including leasing agreements, energy sales, and hybrid approaches.

• Construct a comprehensive financial model that integrates engineering, deployment, unit economics, and capital.

• Implement auditing, controls, governance, and investor relations that meet public-company standards.

• Identify and seek out eligible tax credits, grants, and public financing opportunities.

• Build and manage a streamlined, AI-driven finance team across accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, and tax functions.

• Oversee the General Counsel and future in-house legal counsel, managing contractual agreements.

• Direct daily financial operations and payment processes.

• Create Voltify's financing strategy for expanding battery rail infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in raising billions in equity and debt during both favorable and unfavorable market conditions.

• Demonstrated experience in financing long-term, capital-intensive projects within energy, utilities, telecommunications, transportation, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.

• Track record of financing unprecedented ventures.

• Experience collaborating with boards, banks, and investors.

• Ability to clearly communicate intricate capital structures to bankers, board members, and engineers.

• Proactive, hands-on, and modest approach to tasks.

• Background in rail, transportation, or energy is advantageous.
