VP Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on capital allocation, pricing strategies, and the financial narrative for the upcoming phase of growth.

• Take ownership of investor relations, board reporting, and comprehensive support for fundraising activities.

• Manage our key B2B SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, payback) as real-time operational indicators.

• Work in close partnership with GTM leadership on pricing, packaging, commission structures, and commercial deal economics.

• Oversee FP&A and lead the annual planning process.

• Develop the models, dashboards, and forecasts that the business relies on.

• Promote the Rule of 40 posture, burn multiples, and effective growth planning throughout the executive team.

• Conduct financial diligence, build-vs-buy analyses, valuation work, and manage post-deal integration finance for inorganic growth opportunities and partnership strategies.

• Lead, mentor, and expand the current finance team.

• Maintain complete P&L accountability, budgeting, and cash flow management.

• Oversee SaaS revenue recognition policies across multi-year, ramped, and usage-based contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a VP of Finance with a proven history in a scaling high-tech or startup setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Business Administration; CPA certification is required.

• Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, and nurturing a finance team within a growing organization.

• Strong commitment to operational excellence and a proactive approach to implementing processes and utilizing AI/automation tools.

• Proven capability to manage comprehensive financial operations, coupled with significant commercial experience in handling contractual elements.

• Knowledge of US regulatory frameworks and international tax regulations.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels—from board presentations to cross-functional alignment.
