This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Act as the main financial business partner to the SVP of Finance, managing the Americas P&L, which encompasses revenue trends, EBITDA performance, margins, client health, and investment choices.
• Lead the monthly financial planning processes by delivering executive narratives, variance analyses, Client Business Unit (CBU) scorecards, rolling forecasts (60–90 minute sessions with CBU and Service Line leaders), and forward-looking risk assessments.
• Enhance profitability by scrutinizing client margins, identifying risks of margin compression, suggesting pricing and staffing adjustments, and monitoring performance against established targets.
• Collaborate with NA SVPs on investment proposals and resource distribution, providing financial insights that inform operational decisions in real-time.
• Represent the finance function at the executive level as the senior finance voice in North America, confidently presenting performance metrics.
• Take ownership of NA forecast accuracy and financial objectives: monitor monthly variances, pinpoint causes of discrepancies, and ensure targets for EBITDA %, client margin %, revenue growth, and Rule of 40 are achieved, recommending timely corrective actions.
• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes alongside CBU leaders, ensuring alignment of staffing strategies, revenue commitments, and P&L targets.
• Investigate revenue mix dynamics and articulate how shifts in mix impact margins and EBITDA for leadership consideration.
• Supervise two Finance Business Partners, covering the full spectrum of CBU and Service Line; establish priorities, manage performance, and mentor them towards increased independence and credibility at the SVP level.
• Oversee the Global FP&A function through the Senior FP&A Manager; ensure that consolidated P&L, executive reporting, board presentations, and forecasting infrastructure are delivered timely and with high quality.
• Act as the quality gate for the global financial package prior to submission to SVP Finance, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and narrative quality.
• Manage the NA client health framework: track revenue concentration, profitability, renewal risks, and expansion opportunities across the portfolio; conduct quarterly evaluations and present findings, highlighting gaps, strengths, and proposed actions to NA leadership.
• Conduct client-level margin analysis in collaboration with CBU SVPs; identify instances of margin compression and initiate actions on pricing, staffing optimization, and SOW restructuring.
• Collaborate with Sales and Delivery leadership on structuring deals and pricing for strategic initiatives, ensuring margin discipline is integrated early into the revenue cycle.
• Assist with revenue recognition oversight alongside the Finance Business Partner to guarantee compliance with ASC 606 and accuracy in forecasting.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience within professional services, consulting, technology services, or AI/data firms.
• At least 5 years in a VP, Senior Director, or comparable leadership position.
• Proven experience as a financial business partner responsible for a $100M+ regional or business unit P&L, with direct accountability for forecast accuracy, margin performance, and profitability results.
• Demonstrated capability to convert financial analysis into management actions that enhance EBITDA and client margins; experience in establishing structure and processes in dynamic, growth-oriented environments.
• Strong leadership skills: ability to manage, develop, and mentor mid-career finance professionals to become effective business partners.
• Advanced expertise in financial planning systems (Prophix, Anaplan, Workday Planning, or equivalent); thorough understanding of professional services economics (bill rates, utilization, burden rates, ASC 606).
• Exceptional executive communication skills; adept at presenting financial results, scenarios, and recommendations to C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred; equivalent FP&A leadership experience will be considered.
