VP, Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand the engineering team through strategic recruitment, mentoring, and performance management.

• Regularly write and deploy production code - this position is a hands-on technical leadership role *(all engineering positions in our organization are expected to contribute code)*.

• Collaborate directly with Product Managers to outline and implement the technical roadmap.

• Enhance engineering processes, workflows, and best practices.

• Guide architectural decisions and guarantee technical excellence across all systems.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish the technical vision and prioritize engineering initiatives.

• Oversee engineering budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning.

• Cultivate a robust engineering culture centered on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Take responsibility for system reliability, performance, and security across the entire technology stack.

• Provide reports on engineering metrics, team health, and project progress to the CTO and executive team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in engineering management.

• Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Python or TypeScript.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to work across functions.

• A strong passion for software engineering and a desire to mentor and manage engineers.
