This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and expand the Commercial Operations function to facilitate growth from pre-commercial to commercial stages.
• Collaborate with Commercial Leadership to create launch strategies, go-to-market models, field deployment plans, and operational frameworks.
• Oversee launch readiness initiatives, including territory alignment, targeting, incentive compensation, CRM implementation, analytics, and reporting.
• Create operational structures to support the commercialization of specialty products, including infused and buy-and-bill reimbursement environments.
• Assist with long-term planning, annual operating planning, and commercial forecasting processes.
• Direct all field operations activities, encompassing sales force sizing, structure, alignment, targeting, call planning, and performance analytics.
• Manage the design, administration, and optimization of incentive compensation in alignment with business goals.
• Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to assess commercial effectiveness and promote data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with field leadership to enhance execution, productivity, and customer engagement strategies.
• Ensure operational excellence across CRM systems, field tools, data governance, and commercial technologies.
• Lead forecasting, market analytics, competitive intelligence, and business insights initiatives.
• Convert complex market, customer, and performance data into actionable commercial strategic recommendations.
• Work with Market Access and Finance to assist in pricing, reimbursement, and access planning activities.
• Develop scalable data infrastructure and reporting capabilities to support executive decision-making.
• Promote the adoption and optimization of analytics platforms and commercial technologies.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Regulatory, Compliance, and IT to ensure cohesive commercial execution.
• Act as a key strategic advisor to executive leadership on commercialization strategy and operational planning.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to create Field Compliance SOPs and ensure all commercial activities comply with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Provide support for alliance management and cross-functional governance processes as required.
• Recruit, nurture, and lead a high-performing Commercial Operations team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members while establishing scalable organizational capabilities aligned with the company's growth.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of commercial experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals, with substantial leadership experience in Commercial Operations.
• Proven track record of supporting multiple product launches in specialty therapeutics, oncology, cell therapy, CAR-T, neurology, rare diseases, or other complex treatment environments is strongly preferred.
• Extensive expertise in commercial operations, including forecasting, analytics, field operations, CRM, incentive compensation, targeting, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of specialty pharmacy, infused products, buy-and-bill reimbursement, and complex patient access models is preferred.
• Experience in building commercial infrastructure within emerging or growth-stage biotechnology companies is highly preferred.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional commercial launch planning and execution.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to synthesize multiple data points, assess trends, and translate them into actionable business insights.
• Familiarity with commercial systems and platforms, including CRM, data visualization, incentive compensation, and analytics tools.
• Excellent executive presence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed, fast-paced environments.
• Strong skills in people leadership, organizational development, and talent management.
• Willingness to travel as required for commercial meetings, field engagement, conferences, and company activities.
