This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Direct the organization-wide Compliance Department while managing a high-performing team of compliance experts.
• Create, implement, and consistently enhance a top-tier compliance program that aligns with regulatory standards and supports business expansion.
• Cultivate a robust culture of ethics, accountability, and integrity throughout the organization.
• Develop, uphold, and improve compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Supervise the Company Code of Conduct, ensuring its ongoing relevance and effectiveness.
• Identify compliance risk areas and execute mitigation and corrective action strategies.
• Oversee inquiries into suspected violations of laws, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct.
• Manage hotline reporting systems, ensuring proper triage, review, and resolution processes.
• Conduct monitoring and auditing activities to evaluate program effectiveness and uncover emerging risks.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and Board committees.
• Counsel leadership on intricate compliance issues, regulatory changes, and enterprise risk.
• Spearhead enterprise compliance training initiatives for employees, managers, and new hires.
• Enhance awareness of compliance expectations and advocate for a speak-up culture throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Finance, IT, Security, Quality, Operations, and business leaders to integrate compliance into decision-making and daily operations.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Over 10 years of progressive compliance leadership experience in healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, laboratory, or regulated services sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in building and leading enterprise compliance programs.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence executives and Boards.
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA / HITECH, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, billing and reimbursement compliance, and OIG guidance.
• Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, FDA, and IRB/research compliance.
• Exposure to GDPR, privacy frameworks, FCPA, and information security standards such as NIST.
