This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Answer crisis calls through the Hope’s Voice Hotline, including after-hours and on-call shifts, as assigned.
• Offer crisis intervention for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and related offenses.
• Perform danger and lethality assessments, creating and documenting personalized safety plans.
• Clarify survivors’ rights and available remedies while facilitating referrals to legal counsel.
• Aid survivors with protective orders, navigate court processes, and access Victim Assistance programs.
• Provide thorough case management, including needs assessments, goal setting, and follow-up support.
• Coordinate referrals for housing, healthcare, childcare, education, employment, financial services, and specialized support.
• Establish and nurture professional relationships with law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers, courts, financial institutions, and social service organizations.
• Represent Hope’s Voice and CFS, Corp. in community engagements and promote available services.
• Engage in outreach initiatives and community events.
• Maintain case notes, collect data, prepare incident reports, and fulfill statistical reporting required by ICJI, ICADV, and other funding or regulatory bodies.
• Complete necessary data entry while ensuring confidentiality.
• Stay informed about trauma-informed care, dynamics of IPV/sexual assault, and evidence-based prevention strategies.
• Attend required certifications, training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related human services field is preferred; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• At least five (5) years of experience in social services is required.
• Direct experience in domestic violence or sexual assault services is preferred.
• Understanding of IPV and sexual assault dynamics, trauma-informed approaches, and survivor-centered service provision.
• Must successfully complete all pre-employment screening requirements of CFS, Corp. and comply with relevant state regulations.
• No felony convictions or pending felony/misdemeanor charges that could pose a risk to survivors or impact service integrity.
• Maintain necessary certifications.
• Participate in mandatory training, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Capability to provide services without discrimination based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or lifestyle.
• Ability to uphold strict confidentiality as per applicable laws and organizational policies.
• Compliance with VAWA, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2 where applicable, Joint Commission standards, and organizational policies.
