This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Deploy, update, and oversee test VistA instances across multiple cloud-based environments.
• Provide support to development teams utilizing deployed VistA systems.
• Engage in design, development, coding activities, and validation processes.
• Utilize knowledge of SDLC, Veteran-focused Integration Process (VIP), and VistA.
• Communicate with clients, stakeholders, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Raise significant issues and propose solutions to project and client leadership.
• Assist in architecture enhancements, enterprise releases, and maintenance releases.
• Identify and define development tasks that align with program roadmaps, releases, and sprints.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing customer requirements and formulating overall concepts and design objectives.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another engineering or technical field; 8 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
• At least 5 years of experience in software creation across various programming languages and IT software applications.
• Over 5 years of experience in debugging and resolving computer program issues.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with VistA deployment and patching from the operating system level upwards.
• At least 5 years of experience with formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly agile.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with the InterSystems technology stack including IRIS, Caché, and Ensemble.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing APIs, RPC, and clinical application code using Caché MUMPS or Caché ObjectScript.
• At least 5 years of experience with data formats such as XML, XSLT, JSON, or others.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an agile Scrum development environment.
• Over 5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, including showcasing solution features, sharing insights, and offering guidance on tools and processes.
• At least 5 years of experience in analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of HL7 messaging and standards, HealthShare and IRIS, design mockups and prototypes, version control, TDD, CI/CD, automated testing, experience with federal or Veterans Administration processes, VA VistA patch and release protocols, VIP framework, healthcare industry experience, and familiarity with GitHub.
• Must possess a Public Trust clearance level.
