Virtual Teacher, English/Language Arts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide live, on-camera synchronous instruction for a minimum of five (5) hours each day.

• Utilize student performance data to tailor instruction and modify teaching methods.

• Offer prompt, constructive feedback on student assignments and keep accurate records.

• Foster authentic relationships with students and their families through effective communication.

• Work collaboratively with educational partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.

• A valid state teaching license in Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Michigan, and/or Virginia for English/Language Arts grades 6-12.

• Experience in teaching within virtual and/or face-to-face environments.

• Ability to meet the specific demands of a live online classroom.

• Comfortable and engaging on camera, capable of teaching live for five (5) or more consecutive hours daily.

• Practical experience with online learning platforms and standard productivity tools.

• Data-informed: adept at interpreting student performance data and adjusting live instruction accordingly.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and proficient in time management.

• Strong commitment to professional development and staying updated on K-12 curriculum and best practices.
