This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Deliver virtual speech therapy sessions that are centered around students and aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Execute thorough speech-language assessments utilizing Parallel’s exclusive Clinical Test Library and automated Report Writer.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, oversee, and enhance Individualized Education Programs.
• Attend IEP meetings and provide focused case management for students designated as "Speech Only" when necessary.
• Systematically monitor session data and student development to provide valuable IEP consultations.
• Prepare comprehensive, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle.
• Offer specialized services tailored to state requirements, including AAC support, Pre-K interventions, speech screenings, and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
• Possession of a current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Active SLP license in South Dakota.
• At least 1 year of full-time experience in a school setting conducting IEP-directed therapy and evaluations (post-CFY); 2+ years of experience preferred for case management roles.
• Proven knowledge of the IEP process, educational eligibility assessments, and crafting detailed evaluation reports.
• Experience with Medicaid billing systems is considered a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish rapport with students from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Proficient in using virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation tools.
• Availability during standard school hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
