
Virtual Mental Health Therapist – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead virtual group therapy sessions for adults diagnosed with serious mental health conditions.
• Facilitate engaging online groups that encourage participation, connection, skill development, and recovery.
• Provide individual psychotherapy when necessary as part of the treatment plans for members.
• Administer evidence-based care utilizing CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other clinically suitable interventions.
• Foster therapeutic relationships and offer consistent support over time.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, nutritionists, community health workers, therapists, and other members of the care team.
• Address social, behavioral, and environmental obstacles to treatment and recovery.
• Complete timely and precise clinical documentation.
• Maintain privacy, confidentiality, and clinical quality standards.
• Engage in case consultations and interdisciplinary discussions.
• Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of Amae’s clinical model.
• Proven experience in leading virtual group therapy sessions.
• Comfortable and self-assured in managing group dynamics.
• Proficient in integrating evidence-based practices and interventions, including CBT, DBT, and MI.
• At least 1 year of experience working with adult patients with severe mental illness (SMI).
• Active license or registration to practice as a therapist in California, such as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, Licensed Psychologist, AMFT, ACSW, or APCC.
• Possess an active NPI.
• Enrolled in Medicaid/Medicare.
• Available for weekday mornings and evenings in Pacific Time.
• Dedicated to enhancing access to high-quality mental health services for the SMI community in California.
• Capable of navigating challenging situations with professionalism.
• Comprehensive understanding of confidentiality and proper documentation standards.
• Technologically adept and comfortable utilizing AI-based tools.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools.
• Highly organized and able to work independently.
• Strong listening abilities and excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with adults suffering from severe mental illness.
• Familiarity with evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, or MI.
