Group Therapist – Women’s Mental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee five to seven groups each week

• Conduct 55-minute telehealth sessions aiding perinatal and menopausal patients

• Engage in collaborative individual and group consultations to improve clinical effectiveness

• Contribute insights, feedback, and observations to assist in the development of group curriculum

• Offer 5–10 hours of availability for sessions weekly between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., from Monday to Thursday

• Consistently provide high-quality care to group members in partnership with Seven Starling’s clinical team

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an independent Psy.D license with the authority to practice under PSYPACT

• Additional licensure in California and New York is advantageous

• At least 1 year of experience in a telehealth environment

• Background in facilitating groups focused on perinatal or menopausal mental health (e.g., NICU, women's clinic, women's PHP/IOP program)

• Experience in leading virtual group therapy sessions, ideally for a minimum of 6 months

• Demonstrated experience, skill, and enthusiasm for facilitating online group therapy

• Expertise in organizing and guiding virtual group therapy sessions

• Clinical proficiency in utilizing evidence-based care models, including CBT, DBT, IPT, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

• Skill in creating group sessions that encourage patient engagement, support, and healing

• Experience working with varied patient demographics and exhibiting strong cultural sensitivity

• Empathetic and perceptive listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment

• Comfort and proficiency with virtual platforms, electronic medical records, and Google Suite

• Commitment to enhancing mental health outcomes and serving an underserved population

• Enthusiastic about the advantages of group therapy and adept at leading group therapy sessions

• Willingness to learn new systems and familiarity with electronic medical records
