This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support to healthcare providers and care teams in coordinating and following up with patients for virtual care.
• Evaluate patient documentation, medical records, referrals, and intake information.
• Assist in technology support and onboarding patients for virtual appointments.
• Oversee patient communications and escalate clinical concerns as necessary.
• Ensure accurate documentation is maintained in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, and operational teams.
• Manage registration queues to ensure prompt patient registration and account setup.
• Handle insurance-related Document Action Requests (DAR) queues.
• Record insurance eligibility and payer details.
• Rectify coverage errors and resolve issues related to insurance.
• Maintain provider schedules using Epic.
• Assess provider time-off requests and make necessary schedule adjustments.
• Serve patients through phone, video, and electronic communication channels.
• Respond to patient inquiries and connect them with the appropriate Ovatient resources.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant or nursing assistant program, or possess a compact license as an LPN.
• Possession of a current national medical assisting certification from recognized organizations such as AAMA or NHA.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in primary care or urgent care settings.
• Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency and the ability to navigate various systems seamlessly.
• Strong expertise in telemedicine and virtual care technologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient telephonic and virtual communication skills complemented by outstanding customer service capabilities.
• Dedication to patient care, ensuring quality and clinical excellence.
• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing Epic.
• Experience in patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and coverage management.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
