This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with and report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives & Integration for the US Field.

• Provide comprehensive administrative support, including proofreading, correspondence management, calendar organization, scheduling, inbox management, phone communications, travel arrangements, meeting coordination, conference calls, letter drafting, report preparation, presentation creation, and file maintenance.

• Clearly convey policies and documents to staff members and volunteers.

• Assist with the preparation of materials for executive recruitment interviews.

• Act as a liaison with internal experts and colleagues to address and resolve issues.

• Oversee budgets, expense reports, purchase-card transactions, contracts, payments, and invoices.

• Develop, maintain, and analyze Excel spreadsheets and accounting reports.

• Track and categorize expenses in collaboration with the Finance team.

• Propel projects that arise from national field initiatives.

• Foster relationships with stakeholders and lead, select, coordinate, and participate in project teams.

• Contribute to the initiation, planning, execution, measurement, evaluation, and follow-up of projects.

• Design and assess change-management, communication, marketing, and implementation strategies.

• Monitor, assess, and report on project impacts.

• Conduct research and benchmarking with entities outside of Young Life.

• Organize and host gatherings for staff and stakeholders, including preparing agendas, pre-reads, minutes, follow-up materials, and managing Zoom production.

• Coordinate with camp staff, hotels, and event organizers for in-person meetings.

• Support the VPSII with communications, files, HR procedures, statistics, impact reports, calendar management, travel arrangements, and email correspondence.

• Assist in the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of benefactors while actively engaging in fundraising through personal networks.

• Exemplify spiritual growth and leadership through acts of service, hospitality, prayer, and active participation in Young Life’s mission.


⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred college degree, though not mandatory.

• High level of confidentiality with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a professional context.

• Capacity to multitask and see ongoing projects through to completion.

• Aptitude for learning and operating relevant computer systems.

• Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Typing speed of 55–60 words per minute.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• 5–7 years of administrative experience preferred, especially working for senior executives.

• Profound understanding of and commitment to the Young Life mission.

• Passion for leading spiritually through service, hospitality, and meticulous work.

• Strong relational and interpersonal skills to connect with a diverse range of individuals.

• Growth mindset with a commitment to enhancing self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and cultural intelligence.

• Capacity to listen, ask insightful questions, learn, adapt, improve, and utilize feedback effectively.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Keen attention to detail while maintaining a broader perspective.

• Competency in crafting simple, clear, and persuasive communications.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving Young Life technology.

• Proactive self-motivation, self-discipline, and self-accountability for remote work responsibilities.

• High responsiveness and partnership with the VPSII.

• Willingness to travel 2–4 times annually for 2–4 days each trip.

• Openness to engaging in frontline Young Life activities with youth through local Young Life and/or camp assignments.

• Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord and adhere to Young Life’s Statement of Faith.

• Must be ready, willing, and able to fulfill required ministry functions and comply with Young Life policies.
