Virtual Care Veterinarian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Dakota.

📋 Description

• Facilitate virtual consultations with pet owners through video calls and asynchronous messaging.

• Analyze medical histories, symptoms, and treatment inquiries submitted via Dutch’s digital platform.

• Establish a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) when necessary and assess the appropriateness of telemedicine for each case.

• Offer evidence-based treatment suggestions, including prescriptions when clinically justified.

• Ensure clear, compassionate, and caring communication during every interaction.

• Accurately document all encounters using Dutch’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

• Work collaboratively with Dutch’s clinical leadership team as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduated from an AVMA-accredited veterinary institution or fulfilled the necessary requirements to practice in the United States.

• Possess an active license in one or more states where Dutch operates.*

• Maintain a license in good standing, free from malpractice or disciplinary actions.

• Have 3 or more years of post-graduate clinical experience.

• Provide a quiet, professional environment and reliable internet connection for video consultations.

• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Demonstrate a collaborative and compassionate approach to care.

• Be comfortable utilizing telehealth tools and managing consultations independently.
