
Virtual Adapted Physical Education Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.
• Provide engaging, personalized virtual physical education that caters to each student’s physical capabilities, motor development objectives, and distinct learning profiles.
• Develop structured, modified fitness regimens that correspond with student IEP goals, focusing on aspects such as gross motor skills, coordination, strength, balance, and spatial awareness.
• Adjust instruction in real-time based on student engagement levels, physical abilities, and constraints within the home environment, creatively utilizing household items or limited spaces for safe and active movement.
• Monitor student progress and maintain effective communication with families, IEP teams, and school district partners to ensure compliance with regulations and provide transparent reports on motor skill advancement.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience working with students who have educational needs.
• Capability to design and implement lesson plans that align with student goals and necessary accommodations.
• Strong virtual teaching skills — comfort with video conferencing, digital whiteboards, and engaging students in an online setting.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Access to a reliable computer, internet connection, webcam, and a quiet workspace.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
