Video Producer, Overnights

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Create, shoot, and source high-quality original video and audio content for Reach network brands during overnight hours in the UK.

• Oversee the overnight video schedule in collaboration with the relevant Editor.

• Ensure that video remains a fundamental aspect of daily output.

• Collaborate closely with Australian reporters, news editors, and audience specialists.

• Support the broader Reach network and spearhead overnight breaking news coverage.

• Implement best practices for formats, styles, and content types across each platform.

• Customize video content for specific off-platform channels.

• Prioritize output and make senior-level publishing decisions across network titles.

• Maintain legal, copyright, and quality standards.

• Provide final approval on content prior to uploading and distribution.

• Utilize approved AI tools to enhance efficiency and content accuracy.

• Share key insights and learnings with colleagues.

• Contribute to the development of a diverse and inclusive organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be based in Australia; currently residing in Australia.

• Must have the right to work in Australia; sponsorship is not available.

• Experience in producing, shooting, and sourcing high-quality original video and audio content.

• Proven experience managing video plans and overnight breaking news coverage.

• Demonstrated success in shaping video strategy and creating content that significantly enhances audience growth, video views, and audio-video KPIs for a large organization.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Excellent stakeholder management abilities and capacity to communicate consistent messages.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficient in setting clear objectives, prioritizing tasks, and efficiently allocating resources.

• Technical expertise in video production from filming to editing.

• Hands-on experience with Adobe Suite or similar video editing software.

• Experience in making senior-level publishing decisions.

• Strong understanding of media law.

• Professional, adaptable, and methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure.

• Newsroom experience and possession of an NCTJ/BTCJ qualification (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
