Video Producer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical workflows for complete episodes and social media videos.

• Edit and produce long-form video episodes for YouTube in remote, in-studio, and hybrid setups.

• Develop platform-specific short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

• Create scalable motion graphics, captions, lower-thirds, and various other visual components.

• Supervise and mentor freelance editors and designers.

• Write and edit scripts collaboratively with hosts and production teams.

• Work alongside editorial, social media, and audience development teams.

• Provide insights on visual and social trends as well as content strategy.

• Assemble, refine, and package episode videos using Descript.

• Produce high-quality audio through Descript and Pro Tools for advanced enhancement.

• Lead comprehensive video editing processes, focusing on pacing, structure, and clarity.

• Manage multi-track/multi-camera assembly, visual arrangements, framing consistency, and audio synchronization.

• Record and remotely direct host video introductions.

• Prepare thumbnails, captions, on-screen text, and assets optimized for YouTube.

• Ensure efficient workflows from ingest to publication.

• Oversee the publishing process and deliver high-performing content tailored for YouTube and social media platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6-8+ years of experience in digital video production.

• Proven track record in creating editorial content for podcasts and social media platforms.

• Proficiency in producing both long-form and short-form video content, particularly for talk-based or interview-oriented formats.

• Strong editing skills in Adobe Premiere.

• Experience in motion design and graphics using After Effects or similar software.

• Background in managing freelancers or vendors.

• Clear creative vision ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

• Excellent editorial judgment and news instincts.

• Collaborative and consultative approach to work.

• In-depth knowledge of video platform ecosystems, including YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram Reels.

• Understanding of factors that drive platform performance, user engagement, and show growth.
