Video Editor – Bengali

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Edit short-form and mid-length videos, including reels, social media advertisements, promotions, and content explainers.

• Utilize engaging hooks, dynamic pacing, and a compelling narrative rhythm to enhance viewer retention.

• Adapt editing techniques to cater to platform-specific behaviors, such as rapid cuts for Instagram and attention-grabbing openings for YouTube Shorts.

• Improve video quality through color correction, text animations, transitions, and captivating sound design.

• Collaborate with writers, designers, and creative leads to bring scripts and visual ideas to fruition.

• Remain informed about editing trends, meme formats, cultural references, and audio trends.

• Evaluate advertising performance metrics and apply insights to boost click-through and completion rates.

• Edit videos in both Bengali and English, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and compelling storytelling.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in video editing for social media or digital content.

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form content such as reels, advertisements, and promotions.

• Good understanding of social media platform algorithms and engagement strategies.

• Strong storytelling instincts, visual creativity, and skills in sound design.

• Ability to edit in both Bengali and English with cultural sensitivity and linguistic precision.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bengali for internal coordination and review.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while meeting tight deadlines.

• Must provide their own laptop to carry out daily tasks.
