Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Convert live program recordings into smooth, refined, on-demand educational videos.

• Eliminate the live-event atmosphere while preserving a natural and engaging educational experience.

• Integrate introductory videos and essential components into the final outputs.

• Ensure proper pacing, continuity, and high production quality.

• Deliver completed evergreen videos within 24 hours after live events.

• Review recordings to eliminate off-topic or unnecessary material without interrupting the educational flow.

• Adhere to brand guidelines and prepare polished videos for quality assurance.

• Edit raw footage for an international localization initiative.

• Utilize AI-driven dubbing and lip-syncing platforms, integrating translated audio.

• Create short-form social media clips from long-form recordings.

• Employ Rev.com for transcription and captioning services.

• Organize raw and edited assets within Google Drive.

• Upload, format, and oversee finalized deliverables on Vimeo.

• Maintain accurate versions and files throughout the editing and review process.

• Collaborate with the video editing team, keeping them informed on progress, deadlines, and production challenges.

• Independently manage assigned projects while aligning with team priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional video editing experience.

• Experience in editing educational content, courses, or long-form live recordings.

• Proficiency with Movavi or similar professional video editing software.

• Strong editorial judgment to eliminate off-topic, unnecessary, or off-brand material.

• Ability to maintain pacing, continuity, educational flow, and production quality.

• Experience or capability to manage large media libraries in Google Drive.

• Familiarity with Vimeo and Rev.com.

• Ability to utilize Opus or comparable AI-assisted clipping tools.

• Willingness and capacity to rapidly learn HeyGen or similar AI dubbing and lip-syncing platforms.

• Ability to consistently meet strict 24-hour turnaround deadlines.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Capability to collaborate with editors while independently overseeing projects and editorial choices.

• Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with some flexibility.

• An English resume is required in PDF format.

• A video editing portfolio or relevant work samples is required.

• An application video is required, submitted using the same email as the application.
