Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Edit captivating short-form video content that showcases the authentic and diligent character of blue-collar and trades-based businesses.

• Produce around 5–10 videos daily while upholding robust creative and brand standards.

• Craft content designed for organic reach and engagement through compelling hooks, rapid storytelling, trending formats, music, and retention-focused editing techniques.

• Evaluate performance metrics to gain insights into why certain content performs well or poorly, applying those learnings to future edits.

• Continuously experiment with and enhance hooks, pacing, visual elements, music selections, transitions, and storytelling methods.

• Generate content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, social advertising, websites, and other digital platforms.

• Introduce innovative editing styles and creative concepts that enhance client content and elevate the agency's own social media presence.

• Collaborate with two existing editors to exchange ideas, share best practices, and elevate the overall output of the creative team.

• Assist in training and mentoring fellow editors through constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and creative workshops.

• Oversee post-production workflows for video and photo projects while adhering to tight turnaround times.

• Work alongside account managers, designers, editors, and other internal stakeholders to develop creative concepts and refined, high-converting visual assets.

• Ensure consistent branding and quality across various projects and clients.

• Stay updated on social media trends, visual storytelling techniques, editing tools, AI-driven creative technology, and emerging content formats.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–4+ years of professional experience in video and/or photo production, preferably within an agency or working directly with businesses.

• A robust portfolio showcasing successful short-form social media video editing, particularly for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

• Proven understanding of the factors that drive organic reach, virality, watch time, retention, engagement, and click-through rates.

• Strong analytical mindset, leveraging performance data alongside creative insights to enhance editing decisions.

• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud, including Lightroom and relevant video/photo editing applications.

• Experience in creating motion graphics and/or animations for short-form videos, social ads, and digital content.

• Familiarity with modern AI media creation and editing tools, such as Higgsfield or similar platforms, and the ability to integrate AI into creative workflows.

• Capacity to produce content swiftly and efficiently without compromising on quality.

• Comfortable working towards an expected output of 5–10 edited videos daily.

• In-depth understanding of social media trends, trending audio, platform-specific editing styles, hooks, pacing, and storytelling.

• Genuine enthusiasm for blue-collar and trades industries, or a willingness to quickly learn about how these businesses operate and what resonates with their audiences.

• Collaborative attitude with the confidence to provide feedback, train peers, and contribute to the growth of fellow editors.

• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Google Drive and Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team.
