Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Transform unprocessed footage into captivating visual narratives.

• Edit raw materials into refined, engaging videos that align with the brand's voice.

• Design and incorporate motion graphics and visual effects to enhance storytelling.

• Edit 18–20 short videos and 2 to 3 long-form videos each month.

• Create content that includes on-ground reports, visual storytelling, explainer videos, travel pieces, and collaborations/events.

• Keep abreast of digital and cultural trends to produce innovative, viral content.

• Collaborate with creative, editorial, and field production teams.

• Oversee multiple timelines, versions, and deliverables across various platforms.

• Optimize videos for YouTube, Instagram, and other social media formats.

• Ensure a robust storytelling arc and emotional consistency in every edit.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as outlined in the posting.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.

• A strong understanding of social media trends and visual storytelling techniques.

• Preferred experience working with YouTubers, Content Creators, or Filmmakers.

• A graduate in any field of study.

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender, or DaVinci Resolve.

• Strong knowledge of motion graphics, typography, and visual rhythm.

• Awareness of social media trends and editing aesthetics.

• Familiarity with sound design, color grading, and export workflows.

• A passion for filmmaking, storytelling, Indian culture and socio-political themes, as well as visual experimentation.

• Energetic and self-motivated with a proactive “let’s make it happen” attitude.

• Ability to work outside of comfort zones and meet tight deadlines.

• A strong sense of ownership, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.
