Video Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Transforming single-camera talking-head footage into polished, captivating videos with professional pacing.

• Performing color grading on C-Log 3 (Canon) footage to achieve a cohesive, high-quality appearance throughout the series.

• Developing and incorporating titles, lower-thirds, and on-screen text.

• Implementing light motion graphics as required (animated text/graphics).

• Synchronizing and mixing scripted dialogue audio; refining errors, retakes, and silence.

• Adhering to scripts to identify deviations, repeated takes, and errors, while assembling the desired final cut.

• Including music and captions/subtitles.

• Working within a defined style template: we will provide a brand kit (logo, colors, etc.) and reference videos that illustrate the desired look and style. You will create the LUT, lower-thirds, titles, and graphic assets based on our brand kit for the initial video, which we will approve and finalize as the template for the remainder of the series.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in editing talking-head or interview-style content.

• Experience with multicam editing. While our current setup is single-camera, familiarity with multicam indicates the level of editing expertise we seek, and future projects may utilize multiple angles.

• Strong skills in color grading, particularly with Log footage. This is crucial; please be prepared to discuss your Log grading process.

• Proficient in at least one of the following: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro (please specify which you use).

• Capability to create titles, lower-thirds, and on-screen text.

• Adequate English proficiency to comprehend scripted spoken content and identify script deviations, errors, and repeated takes.

• Dependable workflow for managing and transferring large 4K video files (we will likely utilize Frame.io for review and feedback, and Frame.io or Google Drive for file transfers).

• Production consulting: Ability to provide recommendations on our filming setup, including lighting, camera angles, sound treatment, and workflow, prior to bulk filming (this will be paid in addition to editing).
