This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Edit high-volume short-form social media content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and others.
• Convert raw footage into refined, client-ready final videos.
• Handle scripted or skit-based content, testimonials, podcasts, long-form YouTube videos, interviews, events, talking-head content, and client-specific footage.
• Cut, organize, and compile raw footage.
• Identify impactful clips, moments, and hooks; eliminate dead space, filler words, ums/uhs, and extraneous content.
• Create pacing that is optimized for retention in short-form social media.
• Add, proofread, and correct captions.
• Incorporate client-provided, internally shot, or suitable stock B-roll.
• Integrate music, sound effects, images, GIFs, memes, and various visual elements.
• Develop basic motion graphics and animations.
• Employ keyframing, punch-ins, speed ramping, and contemporary editing techniques.
• Conduct audio cleanup, basic audio mixing, color correction, and color grading.
• Replicate reference editing styles and adhere to brand standards across various clients.
• Follow editing briefs, scripts, shot lists, concepts, and reference videos.
• Make independent creative choices and proactively recommend enhancements to hooks, pacing, clip selection, structure, visual adjustments, and viewer retention.
• Implement revisions from internal teams and clients.
• Clearly communicate questions, challenges, and project requirements.
• Work autonomously while ensuring alignment with project expectations and brand standards.
• Maintain organized project files, assets, raw footage, and final exports using SLF Media's file organization and naming conventions.
• Take full responsibility for the post-production process and transform client footage into polished content with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Video Editing, Content Creation, and Marketing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work within US business hours.
• Strong grasp of modern short-form social media editing and viewer retention techniques.
• Solid understanding of hooks, pacing, pattern interrupts, visual changes, captions, B-roll, sound design, and short-form storytelling.
• Exceptional accuracy in captions; they must be reviewed, proofread, corrected, accurately timed, and visually consistent.
• Proficiency in CapCut Desktop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Familiarity with Dropbox and Google Drive.
• Capability to produce approximately 6–7 short-form videos during a full editing day.
• Ability to manage monthly production volumes exceeding 200 videos during peak periods.
• Capacity to work within 1–2 week turnaround times and handle occasional 1–2 day rush projects.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, communication, ownership, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
