📋 Description

• Take ownership of revenue. Achieve and surpass annual advertising and sponsorship revenue targets across City Cast’s multi-platform network.

• Manage the entire sales process. Implement a structured approach from prospecting to closing and renewal, including pipeline management, deal reviews, pricing, negotiations, and handoffs.

• Lead proactively. Utilize your extensive network of advertiser and agency connections to open doors, effectively communicate the City Cast story in key pitches, and personally secure strategic business alongside the team.

• Execute strategy on multiple levels. Collaborate with the CCO to translate strategy into actionable plans for single-market, regional, and national sales efforts.

• Mentor and uplift the team. Enhance the performance of our distributed sales team through direct coaching, mentorship, and clear expectations, fostering a high-performance culture where top talent can thrive.

• Oversee forecasting and budgeting processes. Take charge of weekly pacing, monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, and ensuring pipeline health.

• Implement the sales playbook. Fine-tune packaging, pricing, pitch narratives, and collateral that effectively secure business.

• Collaborate organization-wide to enhance our offerings. Work closely with client success, ad operations, and marketing teams to evolve and optimize product offerings.

• Manage essential relationships. Cultivate executive-level connections with key advertisers, holding companies, and agency partners, serving as the escalation point for critical accounts.

• Monitor market trends and drive organizational modernization. Keep track of competitive activity and industry trends, provide insights to the CCO, and maintain CRM discipline, sales tools, and responsible AI integration.

• Engage with our markets. Travel to City Cast markets throughout the year to foster relationships with local sellers and partners, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 20% (subject to change).


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in digital media sales with a proven record of revenue growth.

• More than 5 years of experience in sales management, including remote team leadership across various locations.

• Experience in multi-market or network sales, with an understanding of how regional and multi-market deals differ from single-market transactions.

• Familiarity with audio, podcast, and/or video sales, including host-read and integrated sponsorship, programmatic and direct-sold inventory, and attribution methods.

• Proven success in executing go-to-market strategies, transforming strategies into effective sales motions with playbooks, packaging, pricing, and pitch materials.

• A knack for storytelling. You can sell through narratives as much as through numbers and help brands envision their presence within the network.

• Strong skills in forecasting and budgeting, alongside a deep understanding of CRM and sales operations.

• An early adopter of AI in sales. You leverage AI tools to enhance your performance and integrate them into the team’s workflow, including prospecting, research, pitch preparation, and deal coaching.

• A talent developer. You have successfully coached and promoted high performers into advanced roles, and those you've managed often seek you out for guidance in their careers.

• A hands-on operator with a robust network. You bring valuable advertiser, brand, and agency relationships that can generate revenue from day one.

🏝️ Benefits

• The starting base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, based on factors such as location, experience, and skills.

• Total compensation includes a competitive performance-based bonus linked to revenue outcomes.
