This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Vice President of Production is responsible for the complete conversion of finished biomass into compliant, high-quality cannabis products, including flower packaging and pre-roll manufacturing.

• This individual is accountable for achieving targets related to output, cost, service, and quality while fostering a disciplined, execution-oriented production team founded on lean manufacturing principles.

• The role encompasses enterprise-wide responsibilities, overseeing production operations at all GTI locations.

• Positioned centrally within GTI's manufacturing framework, this role links raw material availability to the distribution of finished goods and serves as the main catalyst for operational excellence and ongoing improvement across all production functions and sites.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in manufacturing roles within a high-growth company in the cannabis, CPG, or a related sector, including at least 5 years in a management capacity.

• Lean expertise is essential; Lean Six Sigma certification is highly preferred (Green Belt or higher; Black Belt is ideal).

• A proven history of building and leading high-performing production teams.

• Hands-on experience in implementing lean manufacturing systems.

• Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including quality, scheduling, and production.

• Strong capabilities in P&L and cost management; experience in overseeing cost per unit and labor productivity targets.

• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (preferred sectors include cannabis, food & beverage, pharma, or CPG).

• Familiarity with production scheduling systems and ERP/MES platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to positively influence individuals at all organizational levels.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and resources remotely within a widely dispersed matrix organization.

• Strong business planning capabilities to execute strategic initiatives that affect rapidly evolving business processes. A balanced perspective on both strategic and tactical matters is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or equivalent experience.
