This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee a cohesive marketing strategy that aligns with the University's mission, strategic goals, enrollment targets, and long-term sustainability.
• Act as a strategic consultant to the President and senior leadership regarding market dynamics, competitive positioning, prospective student behavior, emerging technologies, and growth prospects.
• Extensive experience in crafting marketing strategies for both domestic and international student demographics.
• Direct marketing efforts throughout the prospective student journey, from awareness and inquiry to application, enrollment, initiation, and retention, while navigating the complexities of the enrollment lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Admissions to enhance and fortify lead quality, nurturing, re-engagement, conversion, and overall funnel efficiency.
• Create transparent visibility into essential performance metrics, including inquiries, applications, registrations, starts, acquisition costs, conversion rates, and marketing ROI.
• Direct strategy and performance across paid media, search, social platforms, SEO, content, email, CRM-supported nurturing, retargeting, partnerships, and innovative channels.
• Foster a rigorous test-and-learn culture across various audiences, media, creative approaches, messaging, offers, and conversion pathways.
• Enhance analytics, attribution, forecasting, and executive reporting to ensure investment decisions are based on credible and actionable data.
• Collaborate with Brand Storytelling and institutional leaders to elevate market positioning and articulate the unique value of an Academy of Art University education.
• Formulate differentiated strategies for undergraduate, graduate, online, on-campus, transfer, readmission, domestic, and international audiences.
• Provide senior oversight and accountability for external agencies, consultants, media partners, and technology vendors, establishing clear expectations for transparency and performance.
• Assess and strategically implement emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and automation, to enhance personalization, efficiency, analytics, and engagement with prospective students.
• Cultivate strong cross-functional alignment among Marketing, Admissions, Finance, academic leadership, and other key stakeholders.
• Required experience in higher education, with a proven track record in education technology, consumer services, subscription businesses, marketplaces, and other sectors featuring complex, high-consideration customer journeys.
• Significant progressive leadership experience in marketing, growth, customer acquisition, enrollment marketing, or a related discipline.
• Proven success in directing complex, multi-channel strategies linked to measurable business, revenue, customer, or enrollment outcomes.
• In-depth expertise in performance marketing, digital acquisition, analytics, attribution, conversion optimization, and customer journey strategy.
• Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and making disciplined resource allocation decisions.
• Demonstrated success in leading and holding agencies, consultants, vendors, and strategic partners accountable for their performance.
• Strong analytical judgment with the capacity to translate complex data into clear executive decisions and actionable steps.
• Exceptional communication abilities and the executive presence to engage effectively with senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and significant relevant experience.
