Vice President, Information Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and modernize the enterprise security program.

• Convert strategic objectives into actionable plans.

• Lead a growing and dynamic team.

• Collaborate closely with IT, Product, Sales, and Operations teams.

• Implement company-wide initiatives for security awareness and training programs.

• Create governance frameworks for internal AI tools.

• Work alongside engineering and product teams to ensure the security of AI-driven services.

• Identify and introduce automation for high-volume, repetitive tasks.

• Manage the lifecycle of vulnerability management.

• Direct incident response planning, detection, monitoring, and testing.

• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and other relevant frameworks.

• Provide guidance to leadership on risks, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in information security.

• At least 5 years in leadership or program ownership roles.

• Demonstrated success in building or modernizing security programs in resource-limited settings.

• Experience in managing offshore or distributed teams.

• Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to both lead and execute tasks.

• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA).

• Strong understanding of AI/ML security risks and the capability to implement effective safeguards.

• Proven track record of utilizing AI and automation to enhance security operations.

• Experience in managing and optimizing vendor relationships across security technologies.

• Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with emerging standards (NIST AI RMF, OWASP LLM Top 10).

• Experience in professional services, healthcare, or legal sectors where compliance is paramount.

• Ability to function effectively in lean teams and scale through tools, vendors, and process enhancements.
