Cybersecurity Group Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of short- to mid-term operational strategies for the cybersecurity engineering sector.

• Oversee the design, development, and execution of cybersecurity solutions and frameworks across teams managed by various leaders.

• Coordinate and supervise activities related to threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.

• Ensure the integration and continuous enhancement of information security technologies.

• Provide guidance to senior managers and functional stakeholders regarding security concerns and risk management trade-offs.

• Collaborate with internal teams and designated external vendors or service providers.

• Maintain and enforce security policies, standards, best practices, and regulatory obligations.

• Lead crisis management, incident response, and forensic investigations.

• Mentor and develop lower-level managers and senior engineers.

• Participate in technology, risk management, compliance decisions, and comprehensive security planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in security engineering or comparable cybersecurity positions.

• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, security testing, and penetration testing.

• Experience with information security technologies, configuration management, and operational transitions.

• Advanced management and leadership abilities to lead multiple teams and advance tactical and operational security initiatives.

• Proficiency in the English language is required.

• Preferred advanced cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or CEH.

• Experience with security automation and orchestration tools is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA is preferred.

• Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends is preferred.

• Previous technical security engineering experience within enterprise environments is preferred.
