This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the implementation of security analytics, automation, and both strategic and tactical awareness regarding potential security threats.
• Investigate attacker methodologies targeting enterprise technologies.
• Develop automation systems for large-scale detection and response.
• Establish and enhance robust operational capabilities.
• Create detection, response, and remediation strategies that support CrowdStrike’s expansion, scale, and security measures.
• Explore innovative methods and utilize data-driven insights to enhance detection coverage, investigations, and responses across various attack surfaces.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Design scalable systems to automate detection and remediation processes.
• Write detections for threats against CrowdStrike’s infrastructure while maintaining related systems, processes, and technologies.
• Capture and present operational metrics and significant trends to senior leadership.
• Direct and oversee intricate cross-functional programs.
• Proven experience in Security Engineering, Incident Response, or related domains.
• Familiarity with security detection and response technologies, specifically SOAR and SIEM products.
• Experience with big data processing tools such as LogScale, Splunk, or Kibana.
• Expertise in curating both network and host-based detections.
• Experience working within a globally distributed team environment.
• Ability to design unique and innovative attack scenarios, as well as identify, triage, or remediate abuse issues or business logic vulnerabilities.
• Background in cloud security across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms with major public cloud providers and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Proven track record of capturing and communicating operational metrics and key trends to senior leadership.
• Experience in leading and managing complex cross-functional projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or GoLang.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, file systems, and memory management on Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms.
• Solid grasp of fundamental networking principles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking and web security concepts including SSL/TLS, OAuth, SAML, and XSS.
• Deep understanding of OWASP standards and security engineering principles.
• Extensive knowledge of security architecture, tool integration, API development, and automation techniques.
• Exceptional documentation and verbal communication skills.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• This position will require the candidate to periodically undergo and successfully complete additional background and fingerprint checks as per government customer requirements.
• Preferred certifications include OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, OSED, OSEE, GCIA, GPEN, GCIH, GCFA, GMON, GCDA, or GCED.
