Vice President – Global Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for defining and implementing the enterprise technology strategy for Celerion.

• Manage infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, digital transformation, data platforms, laboratory systems, and regulated technology operations that support Celerion’s global activities.

• Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, quality, regulatory, and business development teams to ensure that technology capabilities foster operational excellence, regulatory compliance, scalability, innovation, and outstanding client experiences across all global locations.

• Create and execute a multi-year global technology roadmap that aligns with corporate goals and growth strategies.

• Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation projects that enhance clinical, laboratory, and business operations.

• Provide counsel to executive leadership on emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, AI opportunities, automation, and data modernization.

• Cultivate strong relationships with operational leaders to ensure technology solutions enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Establish technology governance, architectural standards, and processes for investment prioritization.

• Oversee global IT infrastructure including cloud platforms, data centers, networks, endpoint management, collaboration tools, and telecommunications.

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience across global sites.

• Spearhead the modernization of legacy systems while minimizing disruptions to operations.

• Direct global service desk and support operations, ensuring measurable SLAs and customer satisfaction metrics are met.

• Responsible for cybersecurity strategy, risk management, incident response, and security operations.

• Ensure adherence to GxP, FDA, GDPR, SOC, ISO, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to facilitate computerized system validation and ensure audit readiness.

• Oversee security awareness, vulnerability management, identity management, and third-party risk initiatives.

• Drive the enterprise data strategy encompassing governance, analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled insights.

• Capable of managing infrastructure and optimizing operational efficiency while balancing innovation, risk, and cost management.

• Lead the evaluation and implementation of scalable technology platforms that support global expansion.

• Manage global technology budgets, forecasting, contracts, and software licensing.

• Negotiate strategic vendor relationships and technology partnerships.

• Establish KPIs and reporting systems to assess technology performance and value realization.

• Build and lead a high-performing global technology organization.

• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Lead geographically distributed teams across various time zones and business functions.

• Drive the identification, incubation, and commercialization of AI capabilities that enhance competitive positioning, accelerate growth, and increase enterprise value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 15 years of progressive technology leadership experience, including senior executive roles.

• Proven experience leading technology organizations in highly regulated industries such as CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or life sciences.

• Strong understanding of GxP environments, computer system validation, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives.

• Experience in managing global infrastructure.

• Strong financial acumen, vendor management skills, and strategic planning capabilities.

• Exceptional skills in executive communication and stakeholder management.

• Preferred:

• Master’s degree or MBA.

• Experience in clinical research or Phase 1 clinical trial environments.

• Knowledge of laboratory systems, clinical platforms, and regulated data environments.

• Experience with cloud transformation, AI/automation initiatives, and enterprise architecture modernization.
