This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Design and implement the commercial strategy for Air and Ocean Freight in North America, ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.
• Develop annual and multi-year strategic business plans aimed at driving profitable revenue growth while upholding disciplined margin standards.
• Identify key industries, customer segments, trade lanes, and strategic market opportunities to enhance the international forwarding business.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing International Sales team across North America.
• Set sales targets, manage pipelines, enforce forecasting discipline, and establish performance management processes.
• Collaborate with Sales Enablement to enhance international sales capabilities, solution selling proficiency, and overall commercial excellence.
• Work alongside Product, Pricing, Solutions Design, Operations, Customer Experience, and Implementation teams to create innovative solutions for customers.
• Ensure that commercial insights shape product development, service improvements, and business priorities.
• Foster relationships with commercial leaders throughout EMEA, APAC, and Latin America to bolster multinational account strategies and revenue growth.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on international forwarding for the North American sales team, offering coaching, deal strategies, and executive support.
• Promote the integration of international solutions within existing customer portfolios through strategic account planning and cross-selling efforts.
• Engage with executive stakeholders and key customers to aid in major pursuits, solution design, and long-term account development.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activities, industry changes, and emerging opportunities.
• Oversee international sales forecasts, pipeline quality, revenue achievement, business reviews, and executive reporting using CRM and commercial analytics.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to adapt to changing business needs.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution is required.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or global supply chain sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully leading Air and Ocean Freight sales teams and achieving sustained revenue and profit growth.
• In-depth knowledge of international transportation, global forwarding, customs regulations, trade compliance, and worldwide logistics solutions.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Demonstrated capability to build high-performing sales teams through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Experience in executive-level customer relationship management with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders towards common goals.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficient in using Windows PCs and Microsoft O365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Skilled in web conferencing tools such as Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
