This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
β’ You will oversee client relationships that deliver extensive health and welfare (H&W) support along with innovative solutions.
β’ These services may encompass a range of topics, including but not limited to: overall strategy formulation, plan design, reporting, vendor management and selection, pricing, and employee contribution settings or retiree healthcare solutions.
β’ You will manage H&W Workplace Consulting projects, mentor fellow associates, and foster collaboration.
β’ You will be part of the H&W leadership team.
β’ Take charge of creating and presenting strategic recommendations to clients on an annual basis.
β’ Develop a thorough understanding of the client and their business to identify opportunities for expanding relationships and addressing client challenges.
β’ Assume overall accountability to our clients for our strategic, analytical, and financial deliverables.
β’ Guide, support, and review health and welfare program renewals/pricing, budgets, IBNP development, and other H&W support activities.
β’ Play a pivotal role in efforts to grow our H&W client base by participating in RFPs, finalist meetings, and the creation of new offerings.
β’ Create and present webinars and other marketing initiatives focused on H&W insights relevant to current and prospective clients.
β’ Collaborate with other senior leaders in the H&W practice to devise strategies for enhancing people development and client service.
β’ Lead and mentor the team of H&W associates assigned to your client team, as well as the broader H&W practice.
β’ A minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience in the strategic management of health and welfare plans, ideally acquired in a benefits consulting or brokerage firm.
β’ A strong understanding of the complex business issues and challenges that clients face today, along with a proven ability to sell relevant H&W consulting services.
β’ Experience in utilizing all available resources to tackle client problems (resourceful & scrappy).
β’ Exceptional client relationship management skills, including outstanding communication and responsiveness.
β’ Capability to independently create and facilitate strategy discussions; ability to convey complex financial outcomes to client stakeholders.
β’ Extensive knowledge of the health insurance and benefits industry, including its practices, relevant laws/regulations, financial issues, point solutions, traditional carrier partner landscape, PBMs, and coalitions.
β’ Commitment to team collaboration and coordination, which includes mentoring junior associates and leading teams to ensure excellent client service (note that this role will involve managing other associates).
