• Identify, design, refine, and implement enterprise-level educational and youth development partnership and business development strategies that are scalable and relevant across the network.
• Act as a catalyst to position Ys as trusted partners within the community and schools, supporting youth success and family engagement.
• Develop and advance a growth strategy aimed at enhancing Y impact and establishing sustainable revenue models.
• Align with industry standards, federal and state priorities, and funding expectations to maximize opportunities and ensure network-wide adoption and sustainability.
• Advocate for leading practices in local Y management and engagement with educational and youth development experts, including market entry strategies, operational models, partnership lifecycle management, MOU execution and renewal, and performance expectations to efficiently and consistently launch and scale partnerships.
• Collaborate with practice leadership, service delivery, and emerging opportunities to synchronize strategy, processes, innovation, resource development, and activation.
• Create infrastructure throughout the ecosystem to support educational and youth development partnerships on a larger scale.
• Develop and oversee the department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strong return on investment (ROI).
• Work collaboratively within YUSA to provide integrated and seamless support to local Ys.
• Engage with external consultants to enhance and expedite the work.
• Forge partnerships with school districts, youth development specialists, and educational stakeholders to generate new revenue streams.
• Maintain and utilize CEO relationships for advocacy, influence, and endorsement.
• Establish metrics to assess effectiveness, participation, and impact of services offered to the network; leverage data and insights to drive ongoing quality improvement.
• Ensure services clearly demonstrate value towards local Y organizational excellence and financial sustainability.
• Collaborate across YUSA to mitigate risks and exposure for both YUSA and local Ys.
• Remain informed about emerging issues that could affect the Y network.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Business or related disciplines is required.
• An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is required.
• Extensive functional expertise and thought leadership in the field.
• Oversight of a department or functional area.
• Possess high strategic and operational decision-making authority.
• Engage in mid- to long-term strategic planning for the department or functional area.
• Manage internal and external communications at the executive level, significantly influencing departmental vision and strategy.
• Operate with management-level autonomy; daily supervision from a manager is not required; goal achievement is typically accomplished through the performance of direct and/or indirect reports.
