This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a reliable strategic advisor to C-suite executives, clinical leaders, and senior stakeholders in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
• Influence and design enterprise-level clinical development strategies that encompass assets, indications, development programs, and corporate initiatives.
• Offer insights on intricate clinical development and operational hurdles throughout the development lifecycle.
• Create and implement integrated, cross-functional solutions in collaboration with Lumanity colleagues.
• Cultivate and enhance long-term relationships with executive clients.
• Assist the Clinical & Regulatory practice in achieving its P&L, revenue growth, and profitability goals.
• Initiate and broaden client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
• Lead business pursuit strategies for complex, high-value projects from opportunity identification to proposal development and closure.
• Propel business development performance and mentor commercial skills within the practice.
• Expand and develop team capabilities, capacity, and expertise.
• Provide senior oversight on complex client projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results and client experiences.
• Set delivery standards that balance client value, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Formulate talent strategies aimed at succession planning, mentorship, and developing next-generation capabilities.
• Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture across teams and locations.
• Convert changes in the clinical development landscape into growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
• Create perspectives on emerging issues in clinical development and operations.
• Advance consulting methodologies, frameworks, and approaches.
• Identify and develop new service offerings.
• Collaborate across practices to drive innovation and integrated solutions.
• Represent Lumanity at industry forums, conferences, and external events.
• Establish an external network within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and wider life sciences ecosystem.
• Keep track of industry and competitive trends, providing recommendations for practice strategies and service development.
• Contribute to thought leadership and external content.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in clinical development, clinical operations, biopharma, life sciences consulting, or a related field, with substantial experience at a senior leadership level.
• Proven expertise in clinical development strategy and/or clinical operations, ideally covering various stages of the drug development lifecycle and therapeutic areas.
• More than 10 years of experience in a client-facing consulting, advisory, or professional services role, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements and advise senior biopharma stakeholders.
• A successful history of business development and revenue generation, including identifying opportunities, developing senior client relationships, leading proposals/pursuits, and expanding accounts.
• Experience with P&L, financial, or commercial responsibilities, including managing project economics, profitability, and/or revenue goals.
• Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams, including hiring, mentoring, succession planning, and enhancing organizational capabilities.
• Established network and credibility with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, especially among senior clinical development, R&D, or executive stakeholders.
• Experience in developing new consulting offerings, methodologies, or market propositions and translating industry trends into business opportunities.
• A demonstrated external presence through industry conferences, publications, thought leadership, professional organizations, or similar forums is highly preferred.
