This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute management duties in alignment with the organization's policies and relevant laws, which includes hiring and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing grievances; and resolving issues.
• Supervise all elements related to personnel in the CMS Vendor Management department and relationships with third-party vendors.
• Oversee the vendor onboarding due diligence requirements as per Company policy.
• Actively review and assess current business processes, identifying opportunities to enhance compliance and operational efficiencies.
• Conduct risk assessments of both new and existing vendors, formulating strategies and procedures to mitigate risk.
• Manage, track, and monitor the compliance of all third-party vendors with regulatory and internal policies, ensuring adherence to established service levels.
• Supervise and address vendor complaints in accordance with Company Policy. Evaluate and assign risk tolerance based on regulatory requirements and manage action plans as necessary to maintain compliance.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for vendors that are unresponsive to team requests, escalating issues immediately if vendors remain non-compliant.
• Oversee the monthly vendor scorecard review process, which includes timely completion, performance analysis, documentation of action plans, and follow-up. Ensure appropriate tracking, measurement, and reporting to assess vendor performance through the vendor scorecard performance and monthly trending analysis.
• Supervise vendor scorecard meetings to facilitate active follow-up on automation and business unit requirements.
• Report to the company's Senior Management regarding third-party vendor performance, compliance status, quality of services provided, etc.
• Monitor, evaluate, and approve departmental forms, job aids, and/or documents to ensure compliance and timeliness concerning vendor management.
• Conduct regular risk reviews of critical/high-risk vendors.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the VM Quality Assurance team.
• Manage and conduct periodic performance review meetings with associates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of vendor management experience, particularly within mortgage servicing.
• Proven experience in establishing, negotiating, and enforcing vendor contracts and service level agreements.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the vendor management process.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to understand opposing viewpoints on complex issues and negotiate to integrate various perspectives.
• Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Ability to organize and meet deadlines effectively.
• Capacity to make decisions that have a significant impact on the immediate work unit while monitoring the effects beyond it.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules for others over the long term.
• Skills in composing materials such as detailed reports, work-related manuals, and limited-scope publications, as well as making presentations outside the immediate work area.
