This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for both direct and indirect materials.
• Identify, assess, qualify, and manage suppliers to align with business goals regarding cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers, addressing pricing, contracts, terms and conditions, and long-term supply agreements.
• Monitor market dynamics, material costs, supply chain vulnerabilities, and capacity limitations to proactively guide procurement strategies.
• Drive initiatives for cost reduction through supplier development, value engineering, competitive bidding, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to facilitate new product launches, supplier transitions, and ongoing improvement efforts.
• Establish metrics for supplier performance and conduct regular business reviews.
• Address supply chain disruptions and escalation challenges while minimizing effects on production and customer commitments.
• Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies, quality standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
• Maintain precise procurement data, contracts, supplier documentation, and reporting metrics.
• Assist in inventory optimization while balancing service levels, costs, and working capital goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record in negotiating supplier agreements and achieving quantifiable cost savings.
• Experience in managing supplier performance and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
• Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, procurement best practices, and supply chain principles.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management capabilities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
