Director – Contracting and Purchasing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the leadership and strategic direction of PHS's purchased services and non-clinical supplies.

• Selection and rationalization of suppliers.

• Engage in contract negotiations.

• Handle contracting and contract management.

• Manage supplier certification and performance assessments.

• Oversee procurement requisitioning.

• Develop and maintain formularies for supplies and services.

• Conduct purchasing activities.

• Ensure adherence to PHS Purchasing, Contracting, and Authorization Policies.

• Optimize labor and technology resources to deliver customer-centric value analysis and procurement services.

• Create and implement a strategic plan with defined goals and objectives.

• Keep updated with industry best practices.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the team.

• Organize staff and resources to successfully execute initiatives.

• Manage staff scheduling and task assignments.

• Supervise the management of the Opportunity Tracking Report (OTR).

• Lead initiatives to integrate the Value Analysis program.

• Oversee the Supplier credentialing program.

• Collaborate with the Accounts Payable leadership team.

• Direct research and analysis of expenses related to supplies and services.

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

• Support preparedness for emergencies and disasters.

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within healthcare supply chain management.
