This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Supervise procurement operations and the tactical execution of source-to-pay functions while applying organizational strategies throughout procurement processes, priorities, and methodologies.
• Guide, mentor, and nurture a team of buyers to guarantee the effective execution of procurement activities, equitable workloads, and excellent service delivery throughout the organization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders and Supply Chain teams to foster robust relationships, align expectations, and provide transparent communication regarding procurement requests, order statuses, and project assistance.
• Propel continuous enhancements in procurement operations, contract management, and supplier practices to improve efficiency, service quality, and overall value.
• Ensure compliance and effective risk management in procurement activities by reinforcing policies, controls, and standardized practices that promote sound purchasing decisions.
• Deliver performance reporting and operational insights to leadership concerning procurement results, progress on strategic initiatives, opportunities for process improvements, and policy alignment.
• Persuade stakeholders and suppliers to embrace new tools, processes, and standardized practices that enhance procurement efficacy and consistency.
• Cultivate a high-performance, accountable team culture focused on meeting key operational metrics, including cycle time, service levels, efficiency, and cost savings.
• A Bachelor's degree in supply chain operations, procurement, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain or procurement operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading, coaching, and developing staff in an operational or procurement-centric environment.
• Proven success in a highly customer- and stakeholder-focused setting with strong service expectations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing, procurement operations, catalog management, contract negotiation, and source-to-pay processes.
• Capability to lead, coach, and develop team members with diverse levels of experience and expertise.
• Strong organizational skills to manage resources, set priorities, and implement organizational strategies through procurement activities.
• Experience in managing procurement activities with national, regional, and local suppliers.
