This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Carry out tasks associated with vegetation management.
• Operate various small equipment safely, including loppers, pole saws, leaf blowers, and chainsaws for maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment while keeping detailed logs.
• Strictly follow Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.
• Promptly report any safety concerns to team leads or relevant personnel to promote a culture of open communication.
• Actively participate in safety programs, meetings, and training sessions to contribute to a zero-injury environment.
• Perform additional vegetation and maintenance tasks as required, upholding consistent standards.
• Gather for safety briefings at the yard.
• Execute thorough checks of equipment and vehicles, documenting the findings.
• Travel to designated utility structures, verifying locations.
• Utilize digital tools for structure assessments and documentation.
• Notify customers as needed.
• Access structures safely.
• Inspect structures and digitally capture the necessary documentation.
• Evaluate vegetation compliance and update work management systems as needed.
• Execute necessary clearance around structures and document all work completed.
• Remove excess brush and ensure appropriate disposal.
• Maintain accurate documentation and synchronization of records.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess a valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must successfully complete a background check.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in vegetation management or landscaping.
• Preferred: General understanding of PRC 4292.
• Preferred: Experience in Structure Brushing or similar programs.
• Preferred: Proficiency in GIS-based applications, data entry, and mobile applications.
• Preferred: Familiarity with OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Preferred: First Aid/CPR certification.
• Preferred: Completion of the ICS-100 Introduction to ICS course.
• Preferred: Completion of S-130 Firefighter Training.
• Preferred: Certification in IS-700/IS700a NIMS: An introduction.
• Preferred: RT-130 Wildland Fire Safety Training Annual Refresher, including fire shelter training.
• Preferred: Completion of S-212 Wildland Fire Chainsaws Training.
