VDC Industrial Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop fabrication and submittal drawings for industrial applications, including Industrial Plastics, Valve Automation, Specialty Gasket, and Lined Pipe work.

• Ensure that design and drafting concepts are represented accurately and clearly in the drawings.

• Uphold established standards, processes, and workflows.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of standard regional and global templates and CAD databases.

• Engage in meetings and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of industrial products and construction practices.

• Utilize excellent time-management skills to adhere to project deadlines.

• Participate with clients in VDC integration initiatives.

• Review design and construction documentation thoroughly.

• Promote global BIM/VDC initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction science, architecture, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience is required.

• Proficiency in creating BIM/VDC models and updating them with current construction documents and specifications.

• Experience with Inventor, Plant 3D, Revit, and AutoCAD software is highly desirable.

• A high level of integrity, exceptional attention to detail, and critical thinking skills are essential.

• A foundational understanding of mechanical systems and equipment is necessary.

• Ability to discuss project details with clients and foster open communication.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities are crucial.

• Effective presentation and writing skills are expected.

• Strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
